    The Good Life with Christophe Meierhans
    Hinging on the breaking down of our planet’s ecological systems, our times are marked by an “everything crisis” which leaves no aspect of life untouched. The Good Life is a tentative starting point to engage with the complexity of our contemporary situations. It is about trying to understand better where we stand and how to act rather than seeking for solutions. An invitation for anyone to engage collectively with questions that are not asked frequently enough, with the means at disposal and at the risk of getting lost. An attempt at sketching what Good Life would still be useful to long for today.

    Since 2019, Christophe Meierhans (Geneva, 1977) has put his artistic practice at the service of the ecological cause within the civil disobedience movement Extinction Rebellion. He was associate artist at the Nouveau Théâtre de Montreuil, Paris, from 2017 to 2018 and is artist in residence at the Kaaitheater in Brussels for the period 2017 to 2022.

    His work Some use for your broken clay pots engages the audience in rethinking the constitutional basis of democracy, the anarchist cooking show Verein zur Aufhebung des Notwendigen – a hundred wars to world peace and Fondo Speculativo di Provvidenza (with Luigi Coppola) turns the audience into a political community, putting their individual and collective responsibilities at stake. With Ant Hampton he created THE THING, an automated workshop-performance that engages participants in the preparation of disruptive actions…
