Aromatic Logo, (je ne sais quoi)
Je Ne Sais Quoi is the logo for the ‘squat squat’ slash up and coming art space PostNorma. The scent is a fruitful yet abstract composition, a reminiscient medieval counterpart to the ‘medieval modernity’ lifestyle adopted by the squatters.
The concept for using a smell as a logo came about when thinking about our own personalised expression of smell, be it fragrant or otherwise. In general, a squatterÃs logo is more imminent than someone of the general public due to their utilitarian lifestyle. It made sense to expand this asset to a collective personal Identity which would mask or assist each individuals aromatic logo.
The logo is housed in a personalised screenprinted car-freshener meant as a necklace – a him or her Postnorma pendant.
