The ‘DAD Night School’ is initiated by Noam Toran (tutor at Dirty Art Department) as a platform for students to develop a teaching curriculum as part of a socially-oriented practice. If education is one of the principal means by which a society establishes its values, the night school offers the students a method for disseminating alternative beliefs through an experimental pedagogic model. Students will develop an unorthodox and entertaining half-day curriculum which educates their peers and invited members of the public on a wide array of topics, methods and matters.
This year the school will provide classes on tackling the space-time continuum, producing an amateur musical concert, collectively imagining a new subculture around clouds and smoke, mediative swimming and a bonsai pruning history lesson.
