During 8 days, Valentin invited himself in the 20-minute-morning-break of a french primary school, fostering a reflection on the institutional context of education through unusual situations he orchestrated in the playground. The kids were given cameras and recorders everyday to document these experiences on their own, which led to spontaneous reports of this rich yet underestimated communal teaching environment the playground is. This pedagogical experiment raises the form of music jamming session and its surprising dynamics to an ideal method – or anti-method, opposed to the repressive frame of values and expectations fixed by conventional schools and the pupil status they cultivate : always measurable and quantifiable.
The documentary will be screened once everyday to close the exhibition.
