The Department for Agitation engages in actions which challenge the so-called democratic status quo and attempts
to open up the notion of political space. It seeks to provoke and inspire people in the daily practice of political consciousness.
For Imagine Europe, Alberto Valz Gris and Nicola Baratto showcased documentation from
the Department’s recent occupation and use of several customhouses across the Schengen area.
In their view, this action works as a powerful cross- cultural call to take action in order to maintain the freedom of circulation and work towards the total elimination of borders.
